My Alfa hen (was always the first ) is now being pushed aside. Even the roo won't let her eat. Her comb is fading and she just stands in the corner of the run. Can I isolate her for a while so she can eat and get stronger? What is this...

Thanks. I feel much better. I was kinda freaked out and dug it out with a spoon and we ate it anyway.Didn't see anything else wrong (lol ten second rule). After all , they are my own fresh brown eggs. :)

Forgive me , wasn't sure where to ask this question. Can anyone direct me,  or just tell me what is the small brown spot (thing) in the white of a brown egg? My young hens have been laying since sept. I only recently noticed...

My 4 hens are bout 6 months old. Heard some commotion in the coop yesterday and when she came out I went to investigate.Sure enough, one gal layed an egg...but is it normal for it to have gotten broken?
