Do you have freckles on your legs? I do, and on my arms, they would do that to me, I don't think they mean anything but it, at least I hope not!
Sometimes mine do that if a buzzard or crow flies a little too close, or they will run into the woods or barn, whatever is closer. My son would just crack up at them for doing that!

I ended up having to use a big planter pot for a nesting box for mine, had to put the fake egg in it, and it worked. I hope it stays that way, it's frustrating, I know!!
