In my limited experience, and limited it is, the white is recessive and so you wouldnt get white chicks unless the blue splash had a white recessive then you could get a white chick that way. Its all to do with the hidden genes.

Sometimes they just pick on the littlest or if it has injured itself and started bleeding, then they will continue to peck at the injury. You did the right thing by separating it. Try re-intergrating them once the chick is better.

  This is Big Momma, AKA Teal. This is her sitting on 12 eggs (she collected and stole eggs from the other hens nest boxes!!) 8 hatched, and now about 12 weeks on, she and her babies are all out in the garden enjoying life....
