We have bees and chickens with no issues.  We have 3 hives and the chickens don't even notice the bees, but they are in different corners of the backyard.  I have heard that guineas will sit in front of the hive eating bees...

I've been adding mine to the compost pile as well, but I think I am cleaning it out too often as well. It seems to me a lot of folks on here use a kitty scoop to clean out the poop from the coop. I think I am going to start trying that.
