67,803 + 10 = 67,813.   All Silkies (so far!).  Four have names: Athos, Porthos, Aramis and D'Artagnan.  The six new babies are still waiting to be named.
All of the old posts with useful information is why I love this forum.  It is also why I don't post very often...  Usually I can find answers to my questions just by searching for them.

You know you're addicted to chickens when......  Your husband gets into the diaper bag to find something, and pulls out a Ziploc baggie of feed and a waterer base.  True story. 
Haha!  Clever kid, the best way to Mom's heart is through her chickens!
  I have to Emden goslings arriving in around two weeks, and I'd also like to get a couple more Silkie peeps.  The goslings are going to be in with the chickens to (hopefully) alert me if the neighbor's dog comes around...
I was curious about this, too.  The wondeful lady I got my Silkies from said that it's okay to mix the breeds, but any of the standard chickens that I put in with the Silkies must be introduced young.  She said otherwise they...
Haha!  Mine seem to enjoy the radio too.  They don't like beeping noises, though, which seems a little weird....  Funny little birds. 
Oh, that does sound good.  I love blue cheese... I'll have to try and find a recipe.
