Can anyone tell me why my single one female quail is not laying any eggs and it is almost 1st of May. I have 4 male quail and she is over a year old.

yes they are ringneck and I have a white heat lamp on them that comes on by dusk to dawn timing.  At least one has just started to lay eggs.  I put them in the incubator but no sign of embryo yet.

what do you do for food and water in the winter time??

My hens are laying eggs but not sure if the males are mating, will they in the winter time outdoors?

How old should chickens live too before they are done laying eggs at optimum.

With the markings on thewings starting to show it might be a mallard, if not it could be a wood duck.  Might have to wait a little longer to know for sure.  the other one is most likely a Peking duck.

My neighbor has ducks that look like Mallards but with a little different color fethers with the markings in the right place.  Are they still Mallards????
