so i left for a 5 hour college class yesterday came home and was assured my incubator was fine...because i pretty much passed out after the class came inside a few minutes ago looked at my bator and the 6 year old nephew had apparently...
i cant watch mine to see rocking because its closed but day 17 and i candled them and i see dark areas no swimming stuff and nice sized air cells sooooo HATCH BABIES HATCH i cant see movement but they are marans

egg 1 and 2 have a black floating mass (think its the yolk) i want to remove the family is against it...but isnt it bad??? the rest of the eggs...
there are a couple of ways ...
i swear by a play pen inside the main coop so they can see and get use to each other and then when the younger birds are big enough let them out together. another option is to have an older bird accept...
regular handling and offering fun treats .
i was dropper feeding some chicks the other day and another came by to investigate the dropper that was filled with a mix of yogurt and egg yolk now i have about 20 birds lol...
