Momma took the babies for a walk today.........  

here is a pic of one of the turkey chicks   there are 3 more, and a couple eggs I don't have much hope for.   Momma was exactly 12 months old when she started to sit.

UPDATE We now have 4 chicks in the nest, and a bunch of eggs left to go (I hope not!)   The Toms got in the nest today and ate a couple eggs. I think they went in there cause I put food and water in the nest house. Lesson...

Yeah. Withhold feed for the day, then put feeder in coop. they will go in. Couple days of that will learn 'em.

You may already have poults, judging by her suddenly protective nature. Let Nature take it's course. She sits as long as she sits. There is nor substitute for a hen. She beats the incubator every time. RELAX!
