Hmmm I don't think I have heard of any breed that only has males with feathered legs, what actual breed are they? Unless they are a sexlink breed (meaning the boys hatch one colour and the girls another) then I think it is near...

I have never tested the actual temp mine gets to but I can comfortably put my hand on it and leave it there for as long as I like. I have the brinsea one
