Most people on this site say 4 sq. feet per chicken though some do only 3 sq. ft/bird.  It seems like you should only go with less room in the coop if they spend most of their day free ranging and only sleep in the coop.

I think it would be too drafty without a floor.
Can you add something to the run to keep them busy and distracted from hurting the big chicken like hang a cabbage for them to peck at?  Have these chicks been together their whole life or was the big one added to the bunch...
Can you just call animal control and have them remove the cats?  Or trap them yourself and drop them at the pound?  So sorry about your losses.
Thanks for the feedback everyone.  They definitely want out of the brooder and yesterday was the first day I opened up the coop for them and they seemed to love it.  They've been spending anywhere from 5-10 hours outside...
