I was just at Mill Valley Chickens and she had a Barn Builder Hen.  You can look up Leslie and email her.  She might be able to give you more information.
Chick died after one day.  It never ate on its own and never pee'd or poop'd.  I think it was just a sickly chick to begin with.  The people we bought if from Mill Valley Chickens replaced her next time they had new...
Thanks. I put sugar in the water and she does not drink it.  I also tried scramble eggs and she did not touch them either.   I will put some sugar in the syringe and give that a try also. The pedialyte is what you give...
I have been reading through the threads and gotten all the advice.  I just wanted to ad my 2 cents. I am using Pedialyte ( I have a 4 month old so had it on hand) for my chick and it seems to be keeping her alive today....
Get a syringe or eye dropper and buy Pedialyte for babies.  That will keep them from getting dehydrated.  I happen to have a new born and that seemed to do the trick.  I also mixed in some rice cereal and the baby chick...
Just got my new chicks: Americauna, Barr Rock, Wilsummer and milli fleur d'uccle bantam.  Daughter is excited and we are building our coop.  Anyone else in the East Bay Area.   Thanks
Well I am a new urban chicken farmer with my 4 chicks.  Americauna, Millie Fleur Duccle Bantam, and WelSummer.  Just bought them from Mill Valley Chickens.  My daughter loves them as is all excited about raising chickens...
