I don't believe it is legal to raise them in KY unless you are a licensed rehabber, but that doesn't stop many people. I know it's not legal in IN, but I, and my brother and sister, raised many a baby raccoon when we were growing up

I agree that it's probably a cochin. I would say that it has no silkie in it at all. The crest, black skin, and 5 toes are all pretty dominant, so if it was even part silkie it would have at least some of those traits.

You can check with quailladyoffortmyers to see if she has any extra females. I have buttons but mine are all in pairs.
