Thanks Norma.  She had to go home without her sweater.  I still need to crochet 10 rows for a button band, then attach the buttons.
Had a marathon crochet session yesterday trying to get a toddler sweater started & finished before my granddaughter went home this morning.  All finished EXCEPT for the button band and button.   I had to be up at 7...
which vendor??   Have they responded to your other 2 messages?
Perhaps it was the recipe you were using at the time?  If it contained palm oil and the stearic separated from the oil, I could understand the difficulties.     I don't use palm oil and I stir my master batch a few...
Just one of the reasons I've switched to master batching, Betta. I weigh out oils to fill two 5 gallon buckets.  When it is time to make soap, I only need to weigh the oils once!
Another alternative I've used with young ones and soap making is to shred CP soap and give each student a bag of shreds to make soap balls or soap rocks.
I probably will.  It's too early to tell just yet.  We've received about 18" of snow the past 2 weeks!
