cochins by far have been my most docile breed, love them
you have to know your broodies. I have ones that are like clock work others are unpredictable. they are your best incubator in my opinion. I have Cochin bantams for the job

i've had rats do the exact samething, raccoons will pull their heads off through the fence but this is typical rat behavior

the less males the better because they will fight, as long as there's a bunch of females and they have enough room, you can run more than 1 male in with them, males will crow and hens will lay millions of eggs LOL
