Chicken skin is green looking when there is bruising. Sounds like you are doing a great job for him, and he should heal up fine! 
What was the coconut oil for? I would give a quick warm wash under faucet with Dawn dishwashing soap or baby shampoo or any mild soap you have on hand, dry with towel as best you can, and get it back in brooder asap. She can't keep...
Could it be air? If an airsack is injured, it can resolve itself. But if it's extreme, you can let air out with a needle. Do a search on BYC to see how other people have done this.
I would keep mom with the babies and separate them from the rest of the flock,  but let them see eachother if you can so it will be easier to reintroduce them all back to the flock.
Actually, silkies feet look ugly even when completely healthy, in defense of the previous owner. Their toes will look crooked, and the feathers collect dirt & poo no matter what you do. Check them often for feather & skin...
They are new feathers coming in. The sheath will crumble off as they grow out to make pretty new feathers!
