I would start by leaving DH in the woods overnight and see if gods creatures take pity on him.Then while you have a nice quiet house you should take the time to post a few more craigslist ads.It might just be timing. Have you posted it...
Some just get a much bigger comb than others. I have had a few hens that started with a bigger comb and it freaked me out too. Do you find its behavior different too?Can you post a pic of one of the others you dont think is a roo?
