Just a comment.  You are right of course, on all counts.  But while stress does not cause cocci or any other disease directly, it affects the immune system which will make the critter more susceptible to cocci or anything...

The confusion may arise from the fact that most skin cancers are easy to treat and the cure rate is very high.  Malignant melanoma on the other hand is not one of those.  It is truly malignant.
