I had a pullet to go broody after about a month of laying, but I suspect yours is just working on figuring the laying part out.
Yeah, two roos, probably 2nd generation sex link, thus the one colored like a hen.
I am sorry, but I must disagree. It is likely neither a barred rock or a female. It is most certainly not a female, no matter what its coloration is. That is way too much comb for a female chick. This likely means it is also not a barred...
they have a rock body shape, i also say there is wyandotte (some blue color breed) in their blood. roos
the big one is certainly a roo, the other may be also, not a good pic but a lot of comb for that young.
i am not completely convinced the other one isn't a roo also, but no doubt on the one in question, roo.
i am still not convinced that is the same chicken as the first picture, that first one is a roo. convince us and show a picture of this hen when she is off with her babies so we can see the tail again. Please
pretty hard to tell from those pics, but the color pattern appears to be mixed to me. it does show some wyandotte characteristics however.
i would guess he has some minorca in him with that huge white ear lobe.
