Being in the second week is a killer. I want to candle now instead of waiting 3 more days.  I'm never that excited about the first candle because seeing the progress is so iffy.  But this second one will tell a lot. :)

I believe candling is suppose to be the 7th, 14th and right before lockdown?  That is always when I did it. This is my 6th year.  Mine are suppose to hatch March 2nd also.

I was having my husband do it but it upset him as much as me and it wasn't fair to him.
Are you going to do it the baking soda & vinegar way?  I have had to kill chicks before and I can remember every single chick and every single time.  It's all a part of incubating.  It doesn't get any easier for me...
I had a chick born like you did and before I could decide what to do, it died.  I was heart-broken.  I had never had one like that before.
