So sorry for your loss. @ this point I have only chickens and turkeys... But my dad had ducks w/ our flock. They ducks got to free range, the hens had to stay in the run.

It seems a bit to cold... Mine went out today w/ Mama and 34" and brought them back in @ 15 min. Mama showed them how to scratch and follow her... They all got uner her so I brought them in. I think the ground is colder than the air...

I lost one last night... It was very small...   but I still have   very strong ones, the peeping from the unhatched eggs has stopped. Does that mean their gone????

We have 4 as of this moment... I heard another peeper in a unhatched egg. I whispered..."get to work little one, everyone is waiting. What a fun birthday gift...thank you Mother Nature
