Ok so i have done alot of reading on finding out a good way to see if your hens are laying or not. The thing i see more times then not was to use the finger method by the pelvic bones. 2 fingers not laying good 3 fingers a pretty good...
ok this is what i want to do. I have a poultry farm and would like to have a rooster and hen do there thing. Now would i have to take the chicks from the hen to feed and water or will mother do that. Just wondering what you all think....
This bird i saw it peck and eat this egg. Im on the hunt for the egg eaters. I get 5 or so eggs aday that have been eaten. just seems funny.... i will keep doing what im doing and try and get the rest of them........jim
Is this normal. i come across this bird eating an egg so i grabed her and put her all by herself. She has laid 3 eggs and has not eaten them. Is it that they just dont eat there own eggs... jim

Ok i just went to my barn and had one heck of a shock. In my flock of birds that are only 3 months old i found an egg in the nesting box. is this even possible.. Thank you
I have a bird that will poke a hole in the egg to get to the yolk. She wants nothing to do with the shell but never any yolk left behind. What is she missing in her diet. I hope its only 1 bird. I get 1 to 3 eggs aday like...
Never had one before and today i got two. Is this normal to happen every now and then? Or are the birds needing something in there diet to help this not to happen.....Thanks Jim
Anyone here do large numbers of meat birds? I just got an offer to raise 3500 meatbirds over the summer for a store i sell my eggs to.......jim
