Will the chicks be okay with out food and water for 24 hours or so?

i moved the golfballs and she didnt mind.  

The eggs under my broody hen have started hatching.  three hatched today, a day early.  Should I leave the chicks with mama until the others hatch, or should I take them to food and water? Also, they are in an elevated nest....

I have a Silkie chick that has a spikey hairdo.    Is that normal?  Does that mean its a rooster?  I've never had a silkie before so I'm curious.

My broody hen is sitting on six chicken eggs and 1 duck egg.  If I take the chicks from her when they hatch, will she keep sitting and hatch out the duckling? 

I am the proud parent of 5 keets.  I've never raised guineas before.  Any tips would be appreciated.

Cool.  I just put 6 cochin eggs and one duck egg under her.  I'll keepy ou updated.  this is my first hatch.
