They are dumb but seem to survive.  My parents can remember the chickens and gunieas for that matter freezing to the tree limbs when they were young.  They think we spoil our fowl now   I'm constantly getting the story...

I love the patchwork quilts!  I look back at the ones made when I was a kid and can point out "mom had a shirt made of that, mawmaw had a dress in that material" ...  they are such a memory maker.
