Generally speaking your large breed chickens don't fly real well once they are full grown.  Stay away from Leghorns they fly real good. 
My Aussie hens are very quiet, but the roosters on the other hand are VERY vocal.  They get into crowing contests at 2:30 am with the other roos in the barn, but in different stalls.  I can almost set my watch by it. LOL
Yes they do,but they don't lay like machines,like the white so they won't burn out as fast.

Had a squall come through.  Very strange, sun was shining and pouring rain.  Even caught the chickens off guard. LOL

I am also having laying issues.  Pale yolks, less eggs ect.  I am beginning to suspect IMO that the feed mills have changed the formula of the feeds due to the drought.  I have not changed anything in their diet. ...
