I have used Blue-Kote successfully; I'm sure you need to keep it away from the eyes, but I've used it on a bloody comb with good results. It covers up the red that the others want to peck at.

Awesome video!! Looking at the still photos, I can't help thinking 'poor little guy'... but I didn't think that about the one that took one of my girls last spring. Didn't get him but my neighbor may have done.

I have four 2-year-old Golden Comet sexlinks, and three 1 year old hens: two buff Orpington and one barred rock. This past week I got one dozen eggs from them. Does that sound like a reasonable amount for these birds? DH is complaining...
They look happy... the lengths we go to for our chickens!
