Thanks for all the comments. I will upload some pics of our chickens from this hatch. To a great surprise we ended up with about 75% hens to 25% roosters !

It's really best to predator proof your flock with some form of electric fencing or coop. You can trap the predators but others will keep coming. Generally it's the last resort. Google the states game n fish laws like the other poster...

You might want to cut some wire (same size wire as in the bottom of your incubator) and attach it between the chicks and heating element. Good Luck !

Little Giant Egg Turners do not generally fit the Hova Bator Incubator. I can look at one I have back here to make sure but I am pretty sure they require the Hova Bator Egg Turner.

Sounds like you got it. Just make sure you increase your humidity when you stop turning the eggs. I would increase by 10%.

Not sure about the Octo 20 but the new Genesis Models have a Digital LCD Display to adjust temperature. Makes it much easier. The earlier post was right. They stay dead on temp.   We just got our new ones in. I would make sure...

Has anyone used this waterer in the 3 and 5 gallon size? Millside wants us to carry this line of waterers but I have heard some bad reviews and wanted some feedback. They are a little cheaper compared to the Little Giant but I am not...
