I don't know where you can buy 20 feet of lumber for $6 bucks. The thing I like about the pvc is I can always take it apart and use it for other projects or for a water line what have you. the wind blows right through the hoop coops...

Great the only thiing about using a tarp is that it will blow ariund like crazy. I like ti use a shade cloth cause it can breathe with the wind
If you use ten foot joints and put two together they do not bend good. They have a tendency to come apart

Electrical conduit pvc is expensive. all you have to do is the parts of the plain pvc that is exposed to sunlight, is spray paint it.
Fixing to start on a third and fourth coop. Chickens keep a comin !!
