I just candled my turkey eggs and DH was right.  If all of them hatch that are developing, I am going to have A LOT of turkeys.  Only had to pull 2 out of the 25 I set.

How much of the shell have you removed?  I have had "stuck" chicks before and it is very hard for them to get through that "leathery" membrane because they can't spin to zip the egg open.  I usually have to slowly remove more...

You can also float the eggs in warm water if they are too dark to candle.  If the chicks are alive you will see small movements in the water.
Insanity I would take the eggs out and candle them to see if you have any movement in them.
