Oh my gosh!  Look what I just found.  This is the cutest chicken I have ever seen.  It's a chocolate partridge orpington.  How do I make these?  I need my yard filled with these beauties.

I'm confused.  I thought chocolate was a sex linked recessive that, when breeding to black, would only produce pure black or pure chocolate feathering.  There seems to be some incomplete lacing or something in Hershey. ...

I had 12 orpington eggs from TNBEARCHICK, 8 made it to lockdown.  5 hatched:  1 chocolate bantam, 2 lavender, 2 lemon cuckoo.  One lavender pipped and was zipping but somehow managed to turn too far and suffocated...

IF I come I can bring oxine with activator for $22/gallon. Or anything anyone else needs for chickens.

The orpingtons from TNBEARCHICK have begun to hatch!  I have one bantam chocolate out so far (that's all I will get for chocolates 1 out of 2 eggs made it to lockdown).  A few lavenders and lemon cuckoos are working on...

My LG doesn't have a gap like that. I tried the whole brick under the bator to tip it instead of turning the eggs and it wouldn't hold temp. So I'm back to tipping the cartons inside. I need to be done hatching. I have way too many...

A red fox came in the yard today when my daughter was out playing. She was so excited, she stayed out there till bed time waiting for it to come back. My cochins are fortunate she was out there because he was no doubt going to grab one...
