No, do not dunk their heads.
My hen was broody for 3 wks. and during that time she quit laying. I just always made sure to take her out a few times a day to eat and drink. She's back to her old self now, and laying again.

Yes, catch them and put them in,  if you don't have to many. You could also throw something they really like to eat in there. They'll go in eventually.
No worries, every year at this time some of my hens have bare backs, and I have never had a rooster. It will grow back eventually. My hens will be starting their molt in another month or two. Just in time for winter, like always....

Prep H is good to use. That's what I use on my hens. Keep the white gunk cleaned off, then put some Prep H on your finger, and gently try to push it back in. Sometimes it will stay sometimes it won't. If it doesn't, just make sure you...
