Vent sexing is the only way I know to sex A&M's.  They have to be over 6 weeks old, and "sexually" active; meaning they need to be crowing and day length needs to be long enough to have them...
Ulster County here, south of Kingston.
I had an old table saw that had a 3/4 hp motor on it.  The table saw had a bent blade axle so I kept the motor and trashed the saw.
I have watched the featherman videos on their website they did 4 pekin ducks at one time and they came out pretty clean considering the time not having to hand pluck.
$9.58 for 50# of layer pellets from a small feed mill near the NY/PA border
I got the fingers 2 days ago from Kent and I have about 20 fingers that I didn't use.  I have a few students that are helping me build the plucker in my shop, they put all the fingers in yesterday.  I also got the pillow blocks...
I have two BBBs "thanksgiving" and "christmas" to butcher here in the near future.  Thanks for all the advice, thanksgiving is up near 50# and I was wondering how I was going to go about butchering him I may take...
I am using 1/4" diamond plate that I got from an uncle.  I called TSC about the 12" pulley all the ones in my area are rain check only so I had to order it and it will be here in a week.
I found a 10" and 12" pulley from TSC you have to weld in the 1" bore hub in the pulley.  I priced out the 12" and the weld in hub and it came out to be 26.48 w/o tax so at most it will be still less than $30
