I'm thinking most animals are opportunity feeders. Why not provide a bird feeder some distance away that is easier for the sparrows to access?
I love coop pictures too........and I really love Tucson. Up here in the far North is beautiful, but sometimes I just long for the desert.
Mine's 3/4 done, an A Frame and I have stained and waterproofed with Thompsen's. Looks great and in case I don't have it completed before the snow flies, I'll not worry. I'm not getting my birds till Spring.
