I personally do not feed my egg shells back to my chickens...but that is my decision. I asked my MIL and she has raised chickens since she was little girlsaid that in the good ole days they did that and it never hurt the chickens.

I just use a heat light personally. But unless extremely cold where your keeping yur chicks I would say you should be fine.

We don't clip their wings until they decide to escape..lol. But its usually when they are about 5-6 months old.

I have to say first thanks for the laugh....I have had days like this and wondered if someone was going to put it on hidden camera But they even have a smiley that looked like you prob did....

From my experience just throw it out in their yard and some will go into the ground and they will eat some. I doubt if they will eat the bad stuff I know mine wouldn't.

I have had this similar issue several issues and decided to make sure not to get straight run again. I had too many roos and thought I would scream when they woke me up at 4 am just cause they decided hey I can bug ppl and animals...

Being me well I have 5 bed buddies aka labs. I wouldn't trade them for anything personally but some think I am nuts. I have to say tho you have to do what you have to do just make sure if you give him a new home its a good one not where...
