I have a couple eggs under my silkie 1 for sure was developing during  candling.  I know they sometimes can hatch at day 23, but does anyone know a way (via candling??) to check to see if the chick is alive before I dispose...

yes, Im being sarcastic - no one has threatened my roosters.  I live in so california so insulation is not necessary for the coop.  They are silkies so they have fur coats anyway:)
Has anyone tried using some kind of soundproofing/acoustical material on their coop to keep the neighbors from killing your chickens??  I have 3 very LOUD boys that love to talk around 4-7 am.  Any ideas short of chicken stew,...
