Think I may need to trim my guys too. I thought they were only trimmed on mean roosters or when they were hurting the hens. I didn't know they could cause other problems.

Not all Bantam Maran's lay dark eggs but they should. Get them from a breeder that can show you their eggs.

I'm all for it just because it will save some roosters. I don't mind roosters crowing but I can't keep many because of neighbors. Seems odd to say it's not ok to do surgery on Roosters because it's just for the humans benefit When...

Of course I had to explain to both of them that "Yes, you can hatch eggs from the store, if they are fertile" It took some convincing.
