I have 2 Copper Maran Hens and one has Copper around her neck the other does not. Like the others said their comb develops early in the  boys..Turns red and large pretty young. The coloring won't help...
Thanks for the tips..I will monitor for that. It's just that he was perfectly fine before the hen was chasing him..and then after she had him pinned this all started. He was trying to run/fly and after that he was having trouble...
