And, it continues, tossed 9 call duck eggs and then went through the broodies - tossed 3 of those and set the other 6 in the incubator just for laughs.  I am totally enjoying my 8 saxony and my chicks so can't complain too...

I have a pair from last year.  My hen lays almost daily in all weather (no night lights).  They seem very calm and I liked them so much I hatched a few and just picked up 5 more from holderreads today.  I'm sold on them...

Ok, I admit it.  I just couldn't let the two broody silkie sisters go to waste.  I shoved 9 saxony eggs under the two of them.  Some were from the fridge but figured, nothin too lose and why waste a broody, right?
