I'm thinking that maybe chick number 12 is a bantam Sultan. What do you guys think? The little feathers coming in on the wings are white, skin is pink, has a 5th toe, a crest. On chicks 9&10, the wing feathers are black and white....
Re-checked number 4's skin color, most likely a Silkie. It's sort of exciting not knowing what they are. I am hoping for mostly hens though. Any other ideas for the remaining chicks?
We got 12 assorted bantams today and I was wondering if anyone could please help me determine what they are? Purchased from TSC, ours ordered from Privett . Edited to add some additional and better quality photos. Chick 1Silkie Chick 3...
I paid a visit to TSC today, "just to look". They had literally just brought the chicks in and put them in the bins. I was only going to get 4 (the guy at mine said there is no minimum purchase) but my SO wanted more. We came...
Thank you guys very much! Crele and silver duckwing are my two favorite varieties so it's good to hear that they can be bred together. I can't wait to get some more. I started with a silver duckwing trio, lost the rooster for unknown...
Yes, please post pictures. I'd love to see the difference.
Thanks for the information. Can Crele be bred to anything or would they be best kept separately?
Hi guys. I am perusing Ideal Hatchery's site and contemplating placing an order for OEGB. My problem is that I like too many - more than I can house. lol So which colors are compatible and which crosses would give me undesirable results?
Hi all, I am looking for some bantam Cochins to add to our flock. I'd like to get chicks if possible. We currently have mottled so that's the main color I'm interested in, I will most definitely consider other colors - especially white...
I believe I would do it. Bantams would definitely be the way to go, though. The less like a chicken they appear, the better. lol 3 little hens that are kept out of sight wouldn't bother most people. Just avoid roosters.
