I've heard that females get back feathers first. (correct me if I'm wrong)Not sure about tail feathers though.

Thank you all for the info. The toe that is crooked is the middle one only, and on 1 foot only.  I think it may have been born that way. But how much yeast do I put in the water?  I don't mind to try it.I did the drier hatch...

Well... I only got 3 that hatched so far for this spring.  Not very good odds. What did I do wrong?  I had 4 to die that were fully developed except for the yolk sac  not absorbed. ??? I used a Styrofoam egg carton...
