I am actually using my bath tub as a brooder.  The side with the drain has the rubber stuff for under carpets near it so the water and food can just go down the drain and the other side is where the towels are and the heat...

Ohh yes yes they will do that.   But next time you get chicks get them in the summer so you can keep them in a shed or the coop.  But 25 will make a mess of anything in a heart beat.Dust ohhh yes I know dust my poor back...

I thought I was done for the time being  4 adults, 9 chicks, 2 ducks, 6 chicks on order.... But nope just rescued 2 silkies and a Araucana yesterday.  Guess my little coop didn't want to stay abandoned for too long.

You can get that egg out just fine as long as there are no pips and I would candle it before tossing it and smell it.  You might just be smelling the left overs from the others that hatched

Keep an eye on them if they are moving in the egg they are still alive.If there are no pips you can candle them to see if there is still movement in the eggs and active veins.   My last 3 eggs out of my hatch died during lock...
