the youngest are about 1 1/2- 2  years old.  i actually thought they were past their prime.  it makes me uncomfortable to give the eggs away with these odd bits in them that i can't explain.
these things are in most of the eggs.  i never see this in store bought eggs.  why the frequency?
himy chickens are laying eggs that have odd little particles in them, fairly regularly.  the particles are small and beige/brown.  i have no idea what they are.  does anyone know why they are laying this way and what that...

lately my hens lay eggs with yolks that break very easily and they are kind of flatish (compared to normal).  i am not doing anything differnt.  they have a healthy well balanced diet including egg layer, cracked corn, calcium...
i've been told to wait a week.  you may want to check with a vet or expert in your area.
there is a spray out there called quell.  i bought it but have yet to use.  my vet told me it is safe if used lightly but i am still worried it might effect the eggs.
this reminds me of a st patricks day parade i attened where they had dogs dyed green.
i (female) frequent the board but it is my dh (male) that is the true lover of our chickens.
add a calcium supplament like ground oyester shells.  you can get it at your local feed supply store.  just sprinkle a little in with the feed.
