I'm eager to place my chicks with the rest of the flock.  We've had such heavy rains for the past 5 weeks that the only place that I have for the chicks is very muddy.  They are 12 weeks already, so really not even chicks...
I had a chicken who was doing the same thing, so I started giving them extra oyster shell mixed in with their feed AND feeding them crushed egg shell in their feed.  I save every shell from the eggs we eat and feed it right back...

I've been out of town for a couple of days.  Is it OK to eat eggs that were laid on Friday and I just collected them today?  (Sunday)  Thanks all!  I love being a part of such a knowledgeable group=)
