I have 7  2 1/2 year old RIR and BR hens, they molted at the end of the summer and all stopped laying. Will and when they ever start again?
All I could find is the gel caps in the vitamin D3, do you think that would work if I mixed it in a small amount of plain yogurt? I am seperating her so I can make sure she is getting what she needs.
So glad this worked for you! I figured out which one it is so I'm going to seperate her and try the D3, ACV and egg/shells.Hopefully this will work or I may have to put her down . I hate to do it but it's making a hige mess everyday...

I think the same thing, I close them in at night because we have so many predators here and I think thats when the picking starts, on the roost.The head to butt thing must be irresistable for the feather eaters.Two of my reds and one...

Thanks, that's what I was kind of thinking.
I bought a waterer that plugs in and has a thermostat built in so it only comes on if temps drop below freezing.I run it off an extension cord, pat 2 winters have been super easy because of this.I believe the brand is farm innovators?
