I have hatching eggs from my bearded silkies. All birds in this breeding pen were shown at the Hollister show. My splash hen was BV. In the pen are splash, white, blue and black. I am located in Salinas, CA .... I may have chicks...

9 weeks! Wondering what the heck happend.... could they be cornish rocks????
yup they look like miniature meat birds I guess.... 3 1/2 lbs before processing. I got them at the feed store who got them from cackle
Ok so I butchered some of my 9 week old meat chickens today...they were on the organic layer pellet since 2 weeks old and fermented organic wheat (and sprouted wheat) I am dismayed that they are only dressing out at 2lbs or less! :(...
I believe it is 0.5 cc for large fowl.. i am dealing with the same thing right now but with a hen who just hatched some chicks.
Eggs came from my own flock. I use a digital thermometer inside a water snake...I haven't calibrated...good idea!
it's one of the LG styrofoam ...I don't understand it...last year I had one hatching where all the eggs hatched just fine.
I'm afraid she will stop sitting if I bath her know. I checked the rest of the flock and they seem ok...maybe cuz they have access to dust baths? I sprayed Adam's flea and Tick on the broody...any idea if I can spray this on the eggs...
