I noticed something JUST today!!  I guess all the excitement of new ducklings made me a bit unobservant.  The "crested" duckling, besides the lighter coloration, has an more pink/orange webbing on it's feet!  ?????...
I also didn't know khakis could look so different (they were both sold as khakis...just one was crested), but the color difference is really weird!  Love them all the same though!
They are for sure!  They're living in our tub at the moment.  I was worried about them not eating over night, but we found a trick....we *have* to be in there with them and talk sweetly and as soon as we do they calm right...
Oy!  Haven't been on for a year or so!   We've been raising our two ducks from last year and love them completely.  We get a hair up our butt and look what we come home with....two Khakis!  Time to go back and...
Thank you!  I may go purchase one of those buckets AND the de-icer.  I have a little turtle kiddie sand box that's been converted into their "tiny" bathing pool.  Does that keep the water from freezing fairly...
Well, we're dipping into the mid-teens at night and sometimes near freezing during the day.  Which means that soon we'll be freezing even during the day!  I've done so much searching, but can't make up my mind.  I thought...

Thanks for all the comments and compliments on the yards and our feather-babies!   I know it may not be the prettiest, but it gets the job done! LOL  We try to only use materials we can re-purpose whenever possible when we do...
Here's some of Happy, our Embden, with her duck friends....Olive, the Cayuga, and Pickles, the Rouen....We just finished fencing in their yard and putting the siding on their coop tonight.  Here's a few I took right after we finished!
We have a little turtle sandbox converted into a pool and a 100 gallon stock tank dug into the ground for our goose, Happy.  She'll occasionally sit and float in the in-ground "pond", but she really enjoys just sitting in...
