My Americauna does not get picked on.  I also have Blk Australorps, Buff Orpingtons, Brahmas, Wyndottes they all are bigger than my Americauna but do not pick on her anymore than any of the others. Most Americaunas are good layers.
I have a hen that I had to separate from the others.  She lives by herself and seem perfectly happy, gives me nice large eggs daily. Comes when I call her. But she will not tolerate other chickens in her coop. Tried all the tricks...
My Buff Orpingtons like to play out in the rain. Never had a problem.  Their roosts are 4 ft off the floor.
Mine was in from the get go...3 days old.
My Black Australorp's lay small to med size eggs. My Buff Oprpingtons lay large eggs as does my Blk sex Link and maran.
Where are you located?  don't know about value.... there is a sale,buy section on this forum. You could put in ad for local only.
I have both BO's and Maran. My Marans eggs look just like your picture.  My buff's eggs are lighter brown.
If the run is totally secure (mine is in no way secure, that's why they are locked inside every night) so that the door can be left open then you should be just fine. I have a Maran that won't share roost with any of the others so she...
according to the size, 3' x 4' is 12 sq ft. .that's about big enough for 3 hens.  I think putting in 6 hens would make it a little cramped.  My tractor is 5' x 9' with the run underneath plus an extended 10'  run mated...
