I would help it hatch since it has been so long and if it is not right or messed up then you might have to do something with it, like give it to someone who would keep it and rehabilitate it or maybe you might have to cull it, Sorry hope...

as long as the water you cleaned with was not really hot or  really cold, then you should be ok. good luck with your hatch!!
