Thank you all. It is brutal here right now. They are predicting 109 to 111 degrees all week. That is hot, even for us. I always peg 108 as critical temp. for chickens. I hope I don't lose any more birds. I lost an Ameraucana/Orloff...
RIP   My last and nicest colored male from my original Orloff group succumbed to the heat yesterday. It was so sad to find him dead this morning. I know it was the heat that did him in. I think it got up to 108 here...
My heat stroke hen is looking okay now! I went out there with a cup of vinegar and a toothbrush and cleaned the mister heads. Hopefully that will get them misting well enough that I don't have to remove them from the PVC pipe.
