Iam having a hard time on getting silkies to hatch after 6 tries only 2 survied to mature

Silkies are hard to hatch anyway, its a breed thing. try a different rooster to check for viability. maybe the rooster and not the hens

 wait till he gets in brooder with chicks mine did and i dont know who was scared first. he got a hold of a chicks beak and both let out a scream

if it is a still air incu 101, other with fan 99.5

what silkie eggs do you have in incu, the only color i have laying now is my white hen, have 5 others yet to sexed

I have 6 eggs in incubator all with in one day,of each other. how do i handle lockdown.on day 18 for first egg. it will be 18.17 16 etc

sounds like you added too much water days1-18 you can get by with very little I havent added any yet and my hum stays around 32 remove plugs and pour out excess water
