She seemed normal just yesterday. Her comb, usually red, is now almost purple. Does have the labored breathing. Seems to get worse when I check on her or if she gets excited. I'm not sure if that would happen if she was egg bound. It's...
She is a laying hen. We did isolate her. She's not eating or willing to drink on her own. I've been using an eye dropper to give her a little water. Seems to be breathing easier than before. Cant see anything wrong around the vent....
I used DE in the past & it works great. Make sure it's food grade & to get as close to the skin as possible. Takes about 10 days of treating every other day. Put it in your coop to to kill any living in there.
I just found one of my Chickens under a tree by herself. Her mouth is gaped open & it sounds like she trying to cough or something. Her waddle is almost purple. No clue what to do for her. Please help. Thanks.
Is there something that causes this to happen? I remember when she laid her first egg, which was soft, it stuck to her feathers back there & eventually fell off.

I recently purchased 3 sex links, 18wks, from a farm. I can see some kind of bugs under their feathers. I have them separated from my other 5 for now. Ive been using DE on them but I don't think it's going to get into the feathers...
